1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Athena ("Service"), operated by Limpho Mofolo, a sole proprietor ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Athena Verified is a consumer software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that provides individual job seekers with productivity tools including interactive skills assessments, job application tracking, resume assistance, and cover letter generation. The Service is a software utility — it does not provide recruitment, staffing, or job placement services. The Service is accessible at beta.athenaverified.com.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use this Service. By using Athena, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

4. Account Registration

You must create an account to access most features of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately at [email protected] of any unauthorised use of your account.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Athena Verified offers both free and paid subscription plans. Paid subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis. All payments are processed securely through Paddle, our authorised reseller and merchant of record. Paddle handles all payment processing, tax collection, and compliance on our behalf.

Subscription fees are non-refundable except as outlined in our Refund Policy or as required by applicable law. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

6. Skills Assessments

Athena's Verified and Vetted badges are gamified user-profile milestones awarded based on performance in skills assessments. These badges are internal profile attributes indicating a user completed an in-app skills assessment and do not constitute a guarantee of skill level or employment outcomes. We reserve the right to revoke badges if evidence of assessment misconduct is found.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to cheat, manipulate, or game any assessment
• Share your account credentials with others
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service
• Upload malicious code or attempt to breach our security
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use the Service to send unsolicited communications

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software — are owned by Limpho Mofolo and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

9. User Content

By uploading content such as resumes or profile information, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. You retain all ownership rights to your content.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results obtained from use of the Service will be accurate or reliable.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Limpho Mofolo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of employment opportunities or reliance on assessment results.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
